Summary
We are seeking a proactive and organised Receptionist/Administrator to join our friendly team in Derby. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth day to day operations and professional communication within the company. The ideal candidate will help us maintain our reputation for outstanding service as we continue to grow.
Key Responsibilities
* Answer incoming calls and handle customer enquiries, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
* Proactively follow up on quotes and proposals, ensuring timely responses to customers.
* Monitor, manage, and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner.
* Update and manage our CRM system, keeping leads and customer records accurate and current.
* Support social media activity, including scheduling posts and sharing company updates.
* Assist administrative staff with a variety of clerical and office support tasks.
* Coordinate meetings and staff appraisals, including preparing agendas, taking notes, and distributing minutes.
* Support Contracts Managers by raising purchase orders, creating jobs in our management software, and maintaining project documentation.
* Manage office supplies, including stationery, uniforms, and refreshments.
* Monitor company fleet and training records, ensuring compliance and timely renewals.
* Develop procurement skills with the opportunity to progress into ordering and managing materials across multiple projects (training and guidance provided).
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven office administration experience with strong organisational skills.
* Previous experience in a customer service-based role (desirable).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Excellent telephone manner and written communication skills.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
* Reliable, proactive, and forward thinking approach.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 37.5 per week
