Overview

Here's the facts about the role: As an electrician, you'll carry out electrical repairs and installations to our domestic and commercial properties. You'll make sure you work in line with all current IEE Electrical Regulations whilst maintaining high Health & Safety standards. You'll fault find on circuits and appliances, carry out cyclical P.A.T testing and electrical testing. You'll also assist the building contracts team when required on programmed works.


Qualifications

* City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & Part 2 + AM2 Certificate OR equivalent.
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation along with 18th edition wiring regulation.
* 2391/4/5 (inspect & test) is desirable but not essential.

Please ensure that your current qualifications are clear on your CV or application. You'll be able to demonstrate good all-round electrical skills including testing, fault finding, repairs and installation. Experience working in domestic properties and/or for social housing would be an advantage. We do our best to make reasonable adjustments wherever possible. * Working at heights
* Manual handling and lifting heavy and bulky items
* A high degree of mobility, which will include walking/lifting/loading and unloading vehicles

Role details

We're recruiting for an Electrician to join our Empty Homes team! Contractually based out of our Basingstoke office, you'll predominantly cover Basingstoke and the surrounding North Hampshire area. This is a full time, permanent position with the option to work 39 or 42 hours per week, alongside participation in the emergency on-call rota. You'll need to live within a suitable distance to attend out of hour emergencies within a reasonable time frame, and will be paid at very competitive rates for the on call rota!

The 42 hour contract will be offered on a trial basis. Whilst the 42 hour contract is a trial, you'll still be offered a minimum of 39 hours on a permanent basis, should the trial not be successful. You can express your interest in the 39 or 42 hour contract during the online application.

A full, clean current driving licence (held for at least 1 year) is needed so you can drive one of our vans when necessary. Offers are subject to satisfactory driving licence checks and DBS check.
