The services of Hays have been retained by our client, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, to recruit Housing Advisors on an ongoing temporary contract basis to join their Housing Solutions team in Belfast.
Your new role
You will assess a customer’s circumstances and needs, working with relevant internal departments and agencies to provide good quality housing solutions and support shaped around customer needs. This will comprise the integrated areas of housing advice, assistance, tenancy sustainment, homeless prevention, homeless assistance and case management.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must possess:
A degree (or equivalent qualification) with a minimum of 1 year's relevant experience, or;A BTech Higher qualification (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience, or;If you do not possess the above level of qualification, you should have at least 3 years relevant experience.
You must be able to demonstrate that you possess experience of:
Decision-making: Interpreting relevant policy and statutory requirements to make appropriate decisions to meet the needs of customers.Team working: Working as an effective team member to support the achievement of shared outcomes.Customer insight / Problem-solving: Effectively gathering information to gain insight into customer needs and identifying practical solutions. Partnership / Problem-solving: Working with both internal and external stakeholders to find effective housing solutions.
What you'll get in return
These positions offer an immediate start with the opportunity to work with Northern Ireland's largest social landlord on an ongoing temporary contract basis. You will be paid via Hays on a weekly basis for all hours worked and business mileage.
This is an important role that will offer assistance to the most vulnerable in our society. It is a challenging position but offers the opportunity to work closely with a variety of support agencies to develop solutions for many individuals and families who find themselves in difficulties.
