Work Schedule from 3:00PM to 12:00AM Monday to Friday
Our priority is to make sure we hire apprentice heavy duty mechanics that care about the safety of our drivers and the service provided to the community. As a 310T apprentice mechanic with us the minimum responsibilities are:
1. Perform repairs and inspections, safety checks, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake andair systemson diesel vehicles.
2. Utilize vehicle computerelectrical systemsto interpret failure modes to identify and adjust Engine and Vehicle Control modules
3. Respond to road calls for emergency repairs
4. Reviewing, completing or assigning repairs identified on driverVehicle InspectionReports.
5. Completing required paperwork utilizingfleet maintenance softwareprograms.
6. Test driving trucks after services and repairs
7. Helping other team members with repairs as needed
8. Having professional and courteous interactions with our drivers when needed.
9. Adhere to all SAFETY standards laid out by the Ministry of Transport, Ministry of environment as well as Waste Connections of Canada.
10. Perform other job-related duties as assigned
What We Need From You:
11. Registered 310T Mechanic (Fully Licensed)
12. Proficiency in a variety ofdiesel vehicle diagnostic tools,preventative maintenanceand repair.
13. Basic tool set
14. Valid Class DZ Or AZ license is an asset
15. Must be able to pass all pre-employment verifications
