Our client is an established provider of complex care in Yorkshire and surrounding areas. They focus on children with complex needs, learning disabilities, communication difficulties and/or neurodevelopment disabilities. Therefore, a high level of patience, resilience and creativity is essential. We are looking for people who have some understanding of what drives behaviours and have a mindset that behaviour can be changed.
About the role:
1. Be an inspirational leader to Team Leaders, Deputy Managers and RSWs by supporting staff induction, ongoing training, performance management, duty allocation, shift management, record keeping, reporting, budgeting, petty cash handling, staff deployment, and daily supervision of staff and young people.
2. Ensure that care plans, risk assessments, and anti-bullying plans are regularly updated and reviewed.
3. Collaborate with the management team to achieve and maintain an OFSTED rating of good or outstanding.
What we require from a Registered Manager:
1. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a management or supervisory role within residential care.
2. Previous experience as a deputy manager, with at least 2 years relevant to residential care of children.
3. Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare.
4. Willingness to obtain a Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 2 years if not already held.
5. Full UK driving licence.
6. Proven ability to provide consistent care and support to children, including those with challenging behaviours.
7. Flexible approach to working patterns, including shift coverage when needed.
8. Passionate, professional, and highly adaptable.
9. Committed to delivering exceptional outcomes for children.
10. Honesty and integrity.
