A leading engineering consultancy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their specialist team delivering complex, high-profile projects across defence, aerospace, and secure technology sectors. This role would suit candidates working in these roles: Mechanical Design Engineer, Systems Engineer, Project Engineer, Design Consultant, Safety Engineer, Technical Author, CAD Engineer, Engineering Analyst, Defence Engineer, or Engineering Manager.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
* Develop and refine mechanical design solutions that meet demanding client specifications.
* Carry out engineering calculations to validate performance and compliance.
* Produce and maintain technical documentation including specifications, reports, and design records.
* Ensure project delivery aligns with agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
* Participate in formal design reviews and present findings to stakeholders.
You will have the following qualifications and experience
* Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
* Chartered status or actively working towards professional registration.
* Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals and their application in regulated environments.
* Experience across the full design lifecycle, from concept development to final selection.
* Familiarity with industry codes and standards relevant to safety-critical systems.
