3. Teaching various textile techniques such as weaving, knitting, sewing, and surface design, ensuring students acquire a comprehensive skill set.
4. Integrating theoretical knowledge of textile history, design principles, and material properties into your lessons for a well-rounded education.
5. Assessing students' practical and theoretical understanding through diverse assessment methods.
6. Contributing to the development and enhancement of the Textiles curriculum and departmental resources.
7. Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and uphold high teaching standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A degree in Textiles, Fashion Design, or a related field.
* Experience teaching Textiles at the secondary level.
* A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Design & Technology, with a focus on Textiles.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
