An internationally recognised higher education institution is seeking an experienced and highly organised Senior Academic Operations Manager to support the delivery of academic and student services within a fast-paced London campus environment. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing academic operations, student support processes, accessibility coordination, scheduling, compliance monitoring, and faculty administration across a large and diverse academic community. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the successful candidate will help drive operational efficiency, improve processes, and ensure an exceptional experience for both students and academic staff. The position will manage day-to-day academic administration for a large international student body and faculty population, while supervising a small team and collaborating across multiple departments. The role also plays an important part in attendance compliance, academic scheduling, co-curricular programme coordination, and accessibility support services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily academic operations and administrative workflows.
* Manage complex academic scheduling and exam timetabling.
* Lead on student support processes and accessibility arrangements.
* Coordinate faculty administration, academic events, and specialist placements.
* Supervise and develop a team of coordinators and administrators.
* Ensure compliance with attendance and academic regulations.
* Drive process improvements and workflow automation across the department.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support academic delivery.
Candidate Profile:
* Degree educated.
* Proven experience within US higher education, academic administration, or study abroad programmes.
* Strong understanding of student support and academic operations.
* Experience managing complex scheduling and multiple stakeholder relationships.
* Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
* Confident working within fast-paced, service-led environments.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills and attention to detail.
