Clinical Fellow – Otolaryngology (40 hours per week) – Fixed Term
Salary: £45,504 to £60,199
Location: Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.
Job Summary: Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow in Otolaryngology. The post is suitable for a candidate seeking ENT or surgical experience prior to applying for a training post or to further experience towards a CSER application. Significant consultant‑led training will be provided to tailor the role to your development needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide ENT clinical services within the Highlands and Islands region, including head and neck oncology, otology, rhinology, paediatrics, thyroid/parathyroid surgery and facial plastics.
* Work on a 1 in 6 middle‑grade ENT rotation.
* Support a well‑organised ENT service for central, remote and rural populations.
* Participate in clinical teaching of undergraduate medical students from the University of Aberdeen.
* Contribute to departmental administration and sub‑specialty development.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Completed at least two years of full‑time postgraduate training (FY1 & FY2).
* Desirable to have experience within otolaryngology; not essential.
* Must be able to work a fixed 40‑hour week on a fixed‑term contract.
