About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated professional to join our award-winning business‑friendly commercial team within Environmental Health. You will provide a single point of contact service for Primary Authority partnerships, which includes Trading Standards regulatory matters and support businesses with exceptional customer service.
What will be expected from me?
* Site visits to business PA partners at premises across the UK.
* Support our Primary Authority (PA) business partners using your regulatory compliance experience and research skills to advise on food hygiene, food standards, and health & safety matters.
* Provide accurate technical and legal assistance, advice and information to PA partners, including formal PA advice and the creation of inspection plans, as appropriate.
* Act as Peer Reviewer to other PA accounts managed by colleagues.
* Act as a single point of contact between enforcing authorities and business partners and assist LA regulators and businesses in PA partners’ compliance matters.
* Be involved in project work to support innovation in the business, offering solutions to diverse and complex issues.
* Identify opportunities to extend and develop new business partnerships, which fit with our team objectives of being business-minded and socially responsible, as well as aligning with your strengths and interests.
Essential requirements
* Accredited BSc degree or MSc in Environmental Health or other equivalent relevant professional qualifications (such as the Higher Certificate in Food Control or Level 6 Trading Standards Advanced Practitioner (TSAP)).
* Extensive on‑the‑job regulatory experience and competence.
* Full UK Category B Driving Licence for cars / light vans.
You must meet the essential criteria at level 3 Qualified EHO or level 4 Senior EHO on the Job Specification upon entry.
