Your new role
As Specification Technologist, you will play a key role in writing, maintaining and approving finished product specifications in line with customer requirements and relevant food legislation. You will take ownership of product data accuracy, legal compliance and artwork approval, ensuring all specifications and pack information are right first time. A critical part of the role involves managing and maintaining retailer online specification portals, responding to customer queries, uploading approved artwork and supporting customer audits. You will work closely with NPD, supply chain and production teams to support new product handovers, internal audits, traceability exercises and continuous improvement across the Technical function.
What you'll need to succeed
* Degree or equivalent in a food, science or technical discipline
* Minimum of one year's hands on experience using retailer online specification portals (essential)
* Strong understanding of food safety management systems aligned to GFSI standards, including BRC
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to respond to customer queries
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple specifications to a high level of accuracy
* Confident user of Microsoft Office packages with a flexible approach to working requirements
