Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: Devon | Hybrid Work Arrangement Salary: £70,000 – £75,000k An independent business is seeking a commercially minded, emotionally intelligent Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its senior leadership team on an interim basis. The Role As CFO, you will be a key member of a small and agile executive team, responsible for finance and IT during a critical transition period. You’ll lead a team of nine across both functions and be instrumental in ensuring financial stability, delivering strategic insight, and driving business transformation. This is a hands-on leadership role, offering the opportunity to directly influence outcomes while supporting a high-performing team. What You’ll Be Doing Leading financial operations, including audit processes and statutory accounts Managing legacy pension schemes and regulatory responsibilities Budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning Overseeing the implementation of a new EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale) system Improving reporting and insight generation across business units Strengthening financial controls around cash, stock, and loss prevention Supporting business development, including acquisitions and mergers Managing key external relationships with public sector partners Exploring funding opportunities and securing capital investment Supporting business restructuring and contingency planning where needed What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate is a values-driven finance leader who combines technical strength with commercial awareness and emotional intelligence.
