Level 2 BSL Teaching Assistant – Specialist Provision – Gateshead Protocol Education is seeking an experienced and motivated Level 2 BSL Teaching Assistant to work within a specialist educational setting in Gateshead from September. The successful candidate will support pupils with hearing impairments by facilitating communication and enabling access to the curriculum through British Sign Language. Key Duties Provide BSL interpretation and classroom support Assist pupils with academic, social and emotional development Deliver targeted support to individuals and small groups Support teachers in implementing personalised learning strategies Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment Person Specification BSL Level 2 qualification Previous experience in an educational or care setting desirable Excellent communication skills Professional, patient and reliable approach Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply For this role you do need to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle.
