Shift: Mornings & Afternoons (Weekly Rotation)
Salary: Up to £38,000 (including shift allowance)

The CNC Grinder Role:We are seeking an experienced CNC Grinder to join our precision engineering team, supporting the manufacture and repair of aerospace components. This is a hands-on, high-precision role requiring a background in surface or cylindrical grinding within a quality-focused environment.
CNC Grinder Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC grinding machines for high-precision aerospace components
Interpret and work from complex engineering drawings and specifications
Perform surface, cylindrical, and form grinding on a variety of materials
Conduct in-process inspection using micrometers, bore gauges, and comparators
Adhere to tight tolerances and ensure parts meet strict quality standards
Maintain accurate production records and route cards
Contribute to continuous improvement and lean initiatives on the shop floor
Follow safety protocols and work within ISO 9001 / AS9100 compliance frameworksPrevious Experience & Skills:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a CNC or precision grinder
Experience with both CNC and manual grinding machines (Studer, Jones & Shipman, etc.)
Proficient in using precision measuring instruments and self-inspection
Comfortable handling small and medium-sized components (lifting aids available)
Ability to work independently or collaboratively in a production team
Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and repeatability
