We are looking for a new receptionist/administrator, to work in our small, but unique GP Practice in Nantwich. Working as a member of the practice team demonstrating autonomyand initiative when required to. Be able to demonstrate resourcefulness, useown judgement, common sense and local knowledge to respond to patients enquiresand requests.
Have excellent communication skills.
Main duties of the job
Greetall patients on arrival in a friendly, helpful manner, directing them to the appropriate health care professional
Answerthe telephone, dealing with or redirecting enquiries.
Monitoringand signposting effectively patient requests from our online consultationplatform, PATCHs
Makenew and follow up appointments.
Acceptmessages for all of our clinical team.
Processrequests for repeat prescriptions.
Openmail and distribute appropriately.
Arrangehospital transport for patients requiring this service.
Coverfor other administrative roles during annualleave and sickness
Maintainclose and effective liaison with colleagues.
Understandand adhere to all practice policies, protocols, standards and procedures.
Ensurethe start and finishing procedures are adhered to.
Atthe start of the day, switch on appropriate appliances and make necessarypreparations to receive patients.
Ensurethat the premises are totally secure at the end of surgery before leaving thebuilding.
Tosupport the clinical staff with the administrative/clerical tasks necessary forthe smooth and efficient, everyday running of the practice.

Job responsibilities

To attend relevant educational courses/sessions which havebeen agreed by the reception supervisor and are both beneficial to the practiceas well as the individual.

confidentiality and be aware of the practice policy.
Maintain a tidy appearance during working hours and whenrepresenting the practice at meetings or courses.
Ensure you behave in a courteous and professional manner atall times.

Qualifications
* GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths
* Experience of working within a Healthcare setting
