Welder / Fabricator (MIG & TIG)
Location: Rochdale
Pay Rate: £15 – £16 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Temporary
Hours: 7:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Thursday (38 hours per week)
Lunch: 30-minute unpaid break
Friday: Closed
Job Overview
Our Client is based in Manchester and is looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their successful manufacturing facility.
The successful candidate must be physically fit and capable of handling heavy materials. The role involves welding carbon steel and stainless steel, assembling components, and ensuring products are manufactured to a high standard.
We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and can maintain high quality and safety standards.
Key Roles & Responsibilities

MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel and stainless steel

Reading and interpreting manufacturing / engineering drawings
*
Verifying dimensions and product specifications
*
Ensuring all required parts for assembly are present
*
Assembling and aligning components correctly
*
Ensuring finished products meet quality standards
*
Maintaining production schedules and communicating with relevant stakeholders
*
Reporting any product faults or malfunctions
*
Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
Health & Safety
*
Work to the highest Health & Safety standards at all times
*
Maintain awareness of safety within the workplace
*
Report hazards, accidents, and near misses to management
*
Wear the correct PPE at all times
*
Report any machinery or equipment issues promptly
*
Keep work areas tidy and organised
Requirements
*
Minimum 4 years welding experience
*
Experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel
*
Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
*
Physically fit and able to lift materials
Qualifications
Relevant welding qualification certificates must be provided with the application.
Interview Process
Successful candidates will be required to complete a weld test on site as part of the interview process
