Job Title: Welder
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours: 9-day fortnight
Week 1: Monday–Friday, 06:00–14:00
Week 2: Monday–Thursday, 14:00–00:00 (Fridays off)
Pay & Benefits:
· £17.00 per hour + £50.05 weekly shift allowance (≈ £1.32/hr extra)
· 1.5× overtime after 38 hours / Saturdays
· 2× overtime on Sundays
· 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays

Compliance & Screening
As part of working in a regulated aerospace environment, successful candidates will be asked to complete standard compliance checks, including:
· HMRC right-to-work verification
· 5-year traceable work history (employment or references)
· Drug & alcohol screening
· And, depending on the work area, a DBS or enhanced security check
These checks are arranged directly by the employer later in the process, so you won’t need to complete them during the initial application stage. (Please note applications without traceable employment history cannot be progressed.)
Your Responsibilities
· Perform MIG, TIG, and ARC welding on dies, clip tools, and fabricated tooling.
· Carry out heat treatment on dies as part of the repair and refurbishment process.
· Operate and maintain welding equipment and assist with fabrication and fitting work in the toolroom.
· Run the robotic MIG welder once trained (bespoke system – full training provided).
· Work collaboratively with Toolmakers and Engineers to support production and tooling repair schedules.
· Ensure all work meets internal quality standards and is fully documented for audit purposes.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience as a Welder – ideally with MIG as your core process, plus TIG/ARC exposure.
Background in heavy manufacturing, aerospace, or tooling environments preferred.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work accurately to tight tolerances.
Willingness to learn and operate the robotic MIG welder (training provided).
