As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bankings Markets Tech team, you will lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues, ensuring your teams work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.
Job Responsibilities
1. Provide guidance to your immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities.
2. Set overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration.
3. Anticipate dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications aligned with business requirements.
4. Manage stakeholder relationships and oversee the teams work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business needs.
5. Create a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect within the team, prioritizing diverse representation.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
* Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with proficient advanced experience.
* Hands-on experience in Golang / Java or React / Typescript.
* Experience leading technology projects.
* Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
* Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
* Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
* In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems.
* Practical cloud-native experience with Terraform.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
* Full Stack experience is preferred.
* Background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields, with expertise in technology disciplines.
