Middlesbrough Council is seeking an exceptional SEND Team Manager to join our Outstanding Inclusion and Specialist Support Service, which achieved a Grade 1 outcome during the Local Area SEND Inspection in October 2023.

About the Role
As the SEND Team Manager, you will provide day‑to‑day leadership and operational management of the SEND Casework Team. This key role contributes directly to the delivery of high‑quality SEND services at a time when demand is increasing nationally.
You will:
* Lead and develop a team of 12 SEND Case Officers, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
* Work within a statutory service focused on meeting national targets, milestones, and legal frameworks.
* Collaborate openly and effectively with multi‑agency partners, schools, senior leaders, and professionals across sectors.
* Support the development of outstanding SEND services across Middlesbrough.
* Navigate challenging situations with resilience, professionalism, and strong relationship‑building skills.
* Diffuse conflict when needed and maintain positive, productive working relationships.
* Contribute to a vibrant and ambitious multiagency network committed to excellent SEND provision.
