Our solutions range from handheld devices for low-volume use to high-speed inline solutions for high-volume production environments.We have a new opportunity for a service engineer to join our team with responsibility for installing and maintaining industrial inkjet printers, labelling systems, label printers and other related products.The role requires a mix of electrical, electronic and mechanical skills including:Competence working with electrical wiringSerial and Ethernet communicationsUnderstanding of electronic/electrical connections (relays, interlocks, sensors…)Knowledge of pneumatic systems would be an advantageKey SkillsThe ideal candidate should have experience as a service engineer or in another engineering capacity. Fault-finding and diagnostic skills are essential as well as good communication and documentation skills.Candidate RequirementsProven engineering experience with a mix of mechanical and electrical experience preferably with an electrical qualification. The ability to work alone and as part of a team. Flexible working – the position requires some flexibility in working hours, travel and overnight accommodation.A full UK driving license with 3 points maximum is required.Candidates must live within a 45 minute drive of Cannock, Staffordshire.Main DutiesVisiting customers to install, commission and provide training for new coding and labelling systems.Servicing and repairing of existing systems at customers’ sites and at our Cannock premises.Providing technical support to customers by phone, email and video link.Build-up & repair of systems in our Cannock premises including electrical wiring.Demonstrating equipment at customers’ sites or at our Cannock premises.Preparing print samples for customers to demonstrate the equipment's capabilities.Preparing equipment for demonstrations and trials.Representing the company at exhibitions including build up and break down.SalaryCompetitive package and salary offered based on experience.
