We are a small family-run artisan German bakery, that has been producing handmade breads, cakes and pastries since 1984 selling wholesale to restaurants, cafes, hotels, venues and takeaways. In the last 2 years we have also started selling direct to the public via various markets across the central belt.
As we continue to expand, we're looking for flexible and reliable team members to run our stalls at markets, events, and festivals across the region, so that we can attend farmers markets weekly.
This position is for a
part-time
employee for someone to run the market stall
weekly
. It would be app
roximately 20 hours per week; Friday Saturday and Monday
.
Friday, Monday are set up and dismantle days so flexible timings and the bulk of the hours are on the market day on a Saturday.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in the catering or hospitality industry is a bonus, but not essential. We're really looking for people who are:

* Able to multitask and work well under pressure (as our markets can be very busy)

You must be happy working unsociable hours which will involve weekends, early morning starts and late afternoon/evening finishes

Please note that finishing times are approximate and there may be instances where you are required to work beyond these times. Flexibility is greatly appreciated in this role.
A driving licence is a mus
t and being comfortable driving a van is advantageous but not essential.
You will be expected to load and unload van throughout the day. Therefore, all candidates applying
must be comfortable with lifting bread baskets and market equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Organising stock and paperwork prior to market day (in office). Familiarity with Excel and basic Microsoft packages would be advantageous, but not essential
* Loading, driving to and setting up and running our market/event stalls
* Selling our products to the public and providing excellent customer service, including handling payments
* Travelling to and from event locations (Must hold full UK driving licence)
* Following all food safety and hygiene regulations
* Working confidently both independently and as part of a team
* Breaking down market, loading into van, and returning to the main bakery.
* Recording wastage, producing (brief) feedback reports, cleaning equipment and storing it away (in office/main bakery)
The Details:
Location: Each event takes place at a different location, generally within a 3
0-60 minute radius of Cumbernauld bakery.
Job Type: Part-time, Flexible Hours (Weekends & Event Days)
Pay: £12.30 – £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)
