Interim Financial Accountant Location: Greenford, West London (Hybrid - 2 days office / 3 WFH) Rate: £200-£225 per day (via umbrella) Contract: Interim Overview An exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a global organisation in a high-impact role. You will be responsible for financial accounting, reporting, and controls across UK and EU entities, working closely with senior stakeholders and shared service teams. Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Reporting Manage monthly financial accounting and reporting (P&L and Balance Sheet), including consolidation of UK entities in line with group policies Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close (accruals, prepayments, journals) Prepare and submit financials, forecasts, and budgets via reporting systems Produce latest estimates for P&L and working capital Support the Financial Controller with audits, projects, and ad hoc activities Ensure shared service teams deliver against KPIs and follow robust processes Performance Reporting & Planning Deliver monthly performance reporting across full P&L (Revenue to EBIT) Manage latest estimates and support budgeting and forecasting cycles Systems & Data Maintain reporting system mappings across finance and BI tools Manage SAP S/4HANA processes including master data, approvals, and system updates Ensure strong data integrity across cost centres and profit centres Audit & Compliance Support internal and external audit requirements (quarter-end and year-end) Prepare statutory accounts, disclosures, and audit working papers Ensure compliance with group accounting policies Shared Services & Continuous Improvement Partner with offshore shared service teams (RTR, AP, AR) Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and control Support development and performance of shared service teams Skills & Experience Part or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ICAEW or equivalent) Strong financial accounting and reporting experience Experience working in a fast-paced, complex environment SAP S/4HANA (or similar ERP) experience preferred Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented mindset Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
