Interim Financial Accountant
Location: Greenford, West London (Hybrid - 2 days office / 3 WFH)
Rate: £200-£225 per day (via umbrella)

Overview
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a global organisation in a high-impact role. You will be responsible for financial accounting, reporting, and controls across UK and EU entities, working closely with senior stakeholders and shared service teams.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
1. Manage monthly financial accounting and reporting (P&L and Balance Sheet), including consolidation of UK entities in line with group policies
2. Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close (accruals, prepayments, journals)
3. Prepare and submit financials, forecasts, and budgets via reporting systems
4. Produce latest estimates for P&L and working capital
5. Support the Financial Controller with audits, projects, and ad hoc activities
6. Ensure shared service teams deliver against KPIs and follow robust processes
Performance Reporting & Planning
7. Deliver monthly performance reporting across full P&L (Revenue to EBIT)
8. Manage latest estimates and support budgeting and forecasting cycles
Systems & Data
9. Maintain reporting system mappings across finance and BI tools
10. Manage SAP S/4HANA processes including master data, approvals, and system updates
11. Ensure strong data integrity across cost centres and profit centres
Audit & Compliance
12. Support internal and external audit requirements (quarter-end and year-end)
13. Prepare statutory accounts, disclosures, and audit working papers
14. Ensure compliance with group accounting policies
Shared Services & Continuous Improvement
15. Partner with offshore shared service teams (RTR, AP, AR)
16. Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and control
17. Support development and performance of shared service teams
Skills & Experience
18. Part or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ICAEW or equivalent)
19. Strong financial accounting and reporting experience
20. Experience working in a fast-paced, complex environment
21. SAP S/4HANA (or similar ERP) experience preferred
22. Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
23. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
24. Proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented mindset
