TT Barnstaple specialises in the manufacture of wound components, printed-circuit board assemblies, cabinet wiring and electronic test equipment for the civil aircraft, space, and defence industries.
The supply chain engineer joins our expanding team and contributes to innovative projects by leading supplier selection, delivery, negotiation, and quality. Our delivery process is based on excellence, which is essential for driving the development of continuous testing and productivity among our teams.

2. Manage on boarding of new or potential suppliers to confirm technical, process and compliance capability.
3. Provide professional advice and communicate quality issues between internal (purchasing, engineering, production, and incoming inspection) along with suppliers.
4. Ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
5. Ability to think with an innovative approach to problem solving.
6. Demonstrable experience in leading suppliers through development activities.
7. Quality escape containment planning.
8. Overall improvement planning.
9. Structured problem solving such as 8D.
10. Excellent negotiation skills with proven track record of supporting cost reduction programmes.
11. The ability to organise motivate and lead cross functional teams.
12. Experience in subcontract management.
13. Experience of working with complex internal and international supply chains.
14. Excellent negotiation skills; knowledge of contract drafting preferred.
15. Familiar with use of ERP, MRP systems.
16. Familiar with SIOP/S&OP Process.
17. Conduct any audits as per agreed audit plan as required for business objectives and needs.
18. Degree or equivalent in Business Studies, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering.
19. Work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
20. Engineering acumen – ability to see beyond the detail.
21. Able to and confident in presenting to the wider organisation.
22. Essential qualities continually attain satisfactory compliance with quality safety, security and HSE requirements.

Essential
23. Experienced in Aerospace industry or similar industry.
24. Health and Safety awareness and engagement
25. A high standard of Maths and English.
26. IRCA Lead Auditor
27. Knowledge of AS9102 Rev B
28. A sound experience base in problem solving – method specific.
29. Computer literate.
30. Full; UK driving licence.Desireable
31. An engineering qualification relevant to the industry.
32. Relevant CI qualification.
