Assist Technical Planning in creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation (SAP routings, work instructions, drawings, and specifications). Manage product costs during development and into production. Define optimal manufacturing methods and processes based on design requirements. Collaborate with the Test Department to implement suitable testing solutions. Oversee development and first-build of assemblies to ensure production readiness. Work with Sales, Engineering, and Quality to ensure customer requirements are fully captured. Implement and manage engineering changes in production environments. Act as technical liaison for build-to-print customer products. Support training programs and deliver relevant technical instruction when required. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across processes and production. Assist with equipment selection, installation, and commissioning. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions through the MRB process. Qualifications & Experience: A BTEC Level 3 or above in manufacturing engineering or similar is necessary Manufacturing engineering experience, in a low to medium volume electronics production environment - including surface mount, PTH, PCBA cleaning and conformal coating is required Practical experience of Lean Manufacturing Principals is necessary Solidworks experience preferable An understanding of SAP ERP and CAD processes is preferred Aerospace and/or Defence industry experience would be ideal Proficient in microsoft office applications Good communication and teamworking skills are required
