Head of Accounting | Luxury Fashion Brand | £100,000 - £110,000 + Bonus | London (Hybrid, 3 days office)
A globally recognised luxury and lifestyle fashion brand is looking to appoint a Head of Finance to lead all statutory reporting, technical accounting, tax compliance and financial operations across its international group.
This is a high-impact leadership role within a fast-growth organisation that has expanded globally across stores, e-commerce and retail partners. Sitting within the senior finance leadership team, you will partner closely with the CFO to deliver accurate and reliable financial information that underpins strategic decision-making.
With the business scaling internationally, this role is critical in strengthening controllership, improving processes, and building a best-in-class global finance function.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead statutory reporting and global audit processes across multiple international entities, ensuring accurate, compliant and timely filings.
* Own the month-end close, reconciliations, intercompany, and technical accounting guidance.
* Manage tax compliance requirements and oversee relationships with outsourced accounting and tax advisors across all regions.
* Provide strong financial governance, enhancing internal controls and documentation.
* Lead, support and develop the Head of Finance and indirectly the AP/AR team, embedding accountability and continuous improvement.
* Drive process optimisation including automation, ERP enhancements and potential future systems implementation.
* Build credibility with senior commercial stakeholders, maintaining robust financial discipline while supporting accelerated international growth.
* Strengthen consolidation, reporting quality, and alignment between global finance teams.
Skills & Experience Required
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent).
* Strong statutory reporting and audit background, ideally trained in practice.
* Experience within retail, fashion, or consumer products advantageous but not essential.
* Experience leading multi-entity, multi-currency reporting in a complex international environment.
* Demonstrated ability to manage outsourced accounting functions.
* Proven leadership capability, with experience coaching and developing teams at varying levels.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, able to influence commercially-driven senior leaders.
* Comfortable implementing structure, process and scalability within a fast-growing business.
