Job Description
Turner & Townsend is seeking a dedicated Cost Manager – Energy to join our global team. The role focuses on delivering cost control excellence for high‑profile projects in the Power sector, covering Distribution, Transmission, Renewables, and other emerging technologies.
Job Objectives
As our Cost Manager, you will be expected to administer contracts, provide accurate cost monitoring, forecast budget performance, and manage cost variances. Your work will influence the client’s project delivery, ensuring projects remain on budget, within governance, and compliant with best practice.
Responsibilities
* Operate at Cost Management level, qualified and experienced.
* Administer a variety of contracts in line with project objectives and policies.
* Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.
* Pro‑actively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
* Effectively manage contract change to keep projects within governance and adopt best practice.
* Drive improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
Qualifications
* Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
* Ideally hold or be working towards an appropriate professional body membership or equivalent.
* Contract Management (NEC3, Option C, or NEC 4 preferred).
Additional Information
We support hybrid working and embrace a forward‑thinking approach to working. Part‑time applications will also be considered. There will be an expectation to be in the client offices 2/3 days a week in either Ipswich or Sizewell.
