Are you a passionate and creative educator seeking a flexible, impactful teaching role? We’re recruiting on behalf of a supportive and inclusive independent specialist school in Trowbridge for a part-time tutor to join their post-16 provision.

This unique role offers an incredible opportunity to support young people with diverse and complex needs, helping them re-engage with learning, develop life skills and achieve their full potential in a nurturing and dynamic setting.

The Role:

As a part-time teacher in this forward-thinking post-16 team, you’ll plan and deliver tailored sessions to small groups of students. Your lessons will focus on academic development, personal growth and social-emotional learning, designed around each student’s individual journey.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver creative, structured lessons that support long-term understanding
* Set personalised learning targets based on each learner’s starting point
* Adapt planning to meet a wide range of special educational needs (SEN)
* Help students build self-esteem, resilience and effective behaviour strategies
* Contribute to a collaborative, pastoral-first school culture

This setting embraces flexibility, curiosity and holistic education - blending academics with vocational and outdoor learning experiences.

Who We’re Looking For:

We’re searching for a qualified teacher or experienced tutor who thrives on making a difference. Ideally, you will:

* Hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, QTLS, PGCE)
* Have experience teaching secondary-aged learners, preferably in an SEN or alternative provision
* Bring creativity, patience and flexibility to your teaching approach
* Understand and apply positive behaviour support techniques
* Be passionate about supporting young people with SEMH or SEND needs
* Hold a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (insured for business use)

Why Join This School?

This school is part of a nationwide network of specialist provisions, known for its therapeutic approach and commitment to student wellbeing. You’ll join a dedicated, close-knit team that values empathy, autonomy and the belief that every learner deserves a second chance.

You’ll benefit from:

* A values-led, emotionally intelligent school culture
* Structured CPD and professional development opportunities
* Small class sizes and strong student-staff relationships
* Support from experienced colleagues who genuinely care

If you’re a dedicated educator who wants to empower young people to thrive in education and life, this could be the ideal part-time teaching role for you!
