Key Responsibilities
* Providing leadership and direction to the senior team, ensuring the school development plan aligns with the strategic vision.
* Developing and implementing a strategic vision for academic excellence and holistic student development.
* Working closely with the Education Director/Principal, Board of Governors, and Senior Leadership Team to ensure alignment on key initiatives and overall school performance.
* Acting as a Governor for a number of Cavendish Schools within the group, under the guidance of the Chair of Governors.
* Setting and managing the school’s budget in collaboration with the School Business Manager, ensuring sound financial planning and resource allocation.
* Leading the preparation of termly Headteacher’s Reports to support data-driven decision-making.
* Overseeing staff development, performance, and wellbeing, with particular attention to Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
* Promoting continuous professional development across the staff body to maintain high standards of teaching and leadership.
* Working closely with the Admissions Lead to ensure effective student recruitment while maintaining the school’s ethos.
* Engaging with parents and representing the school at Open Evenings and other events to foster positive relationships.
* Overseeing facilities management, capital expenditure projects, and building expansion in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
* Guiding the therapeutic provision across the school to ensure a unified strategy and compliance with regulatory standards.
* Serving as Head of the Exam Centre, ensuring compliance with examination regulations and oversight of assessments, results, and appeals.
* Leading and representing the school at key events and acting as an ambassador for Heathermount School and Cavendish Education.
* Ensuring collaboration across the Cavendish Family of Schools and contributing proactively to staff development opportunities.
