The Role My client is wishing to recruit a skilled, and experienced PV Designer, to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, and quantifying PV, and electrical installation for various projects nationwide (Hull based). Responsibilities: Designing PV systems, roof and ground mounted, including mechanical, electrical (AC/DC) and civil. Interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports (in-house, and external). Coordinating, and creating BOQs from design through to construction phase of projects. Collaborating with other engineers and professionals to implement effective solutions. Client engagement to ensure briefs are achieved. Creation of CDM plans and site packs. Engagement with and management of submissions to relevant governing bodies and planning authorities. Maintaining up to date knowledge of industry trends and advancements within the PV/EESS industry. The ability to coordinate between supplier, senior management, and sub contactors to achieve seamless delivery of projects. The ability to manage own time and prioritise specific project requirements to meet the end goals. Experience/Attributes At least 3 years practical experience designing PV/EESS Systems or related fields. Proven experience in working with PV/EESS and electrical systems and their electrical and mechanical components Knowledge of AC/DC EV charging advantageous. Strong mechanical and civils knowledge with regards roof and ground mount installation types, techniques. Working knowledge of BS7671 (18th Edition). Ability to interpret contractor provided survey forms and efficiently produce designs. Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD. Working knowledge of SolarEdge Designer software. Working knowledge of PVSyst or PVSol design software. Experience with estimating software and the ability to create BOQs in a timely manner. Experience with Trimble and/or Electrical OM. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong customer service orientation to address client needs effectively.
