2nd/3rd Line Business Central Support Consultant

UK South - Hybrid/Remote – 1-2 days in the office per month

£45,000 - £50,000

Our client is a Microsoft partner supporting customers across retail, hospitality, and distribution. Due to continued growth within their managed services function, they are seeking an experienced 2nd Line Business Central Support Consultant to join their expanding support operation. The successful candidate must have strong experience with Business Central and LS Retail and will play a critical role in ensuring customers receive fast, high-quality support for their ERP and retail systems. This is a hands-on support role with a strong functional focus across finance, operations, inventory, and retail processes.

2nd Line Business Central Support Consultant Key Responsibilities:

* Investigate, diagnose and resolve escalated Business Central and LS Central issues within agreed SLAs

* Act as the primary escalation point for 1st line support

* Perform data validation and reconciliation between entry tables and reports

* Configure Business Central (non-development) to meet customer requirements

* Troubleshoot complex functional and system issues, including error message analysis

* Provide clear, structured technical information to internal teams and development partners

* Identify, document and prioritise issues requiring escalation to 3rd line support

* Create and maintain knowledge base articles and solution documentation

* Support customer training and onboarding for new features and processes

* Assist with upgrades, testing and deployment activities

2nd Line Business Central Support Consultant Required Experience:

* At least 3 years’ experience supporting or consulting on Business Central

* Must have LS Retail / LS Central experience

* Proven background in 2nd line or advanced application support

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

* Ability to manage and prioritise multiple cases effectively

* Confident communicator with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical users

* Experience supporting third-party applications such as Jet Reports, Continia, or Tasklet is highly desirable
