Are you a dynamic sales leader with a passion for hydraulic fluid power?
We are seeking a Sales Manager to help grow our UK hydraulics business. This key role focuses on driving sales performance, developing a capable team, and strengthening partnerships with distributors and OEMs across the country, for Interpump Group’s range of hydraulic hoses, fittings, PTO pumps, valves, and associated products.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Sales & Leadership: Develop and execute a UK-wide sales strategy, identifying growth opportunities in OEM, distributor, and end-user sectors across construction, agriculture, transport, and industrial markets.
* Training & Development: Lead, support, and motivate a team of external sales personnel, focusing on a solution sales mindset, and deliver product training to ensure technical competence.
* Customer & Distributor Relationships: Support the team in managing key accounts, including pricing negotiations and service agreements and ensure consistent after-sales support.
* Sales Performance & Reporting: Track performance using CRM tools and manual reporting. Analyse sales data, customer demand, and competitor activity. Delivering forecasts and pipeline updates to senior leadership.
* Product & Market Development: Gather feedback to inform product improvements and new launches. Coordinate with the group on stock and new product ranges including recommend additions to the product line. Working with marketing to build brand profile and increase market awareness.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with procurement for timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with marketing on campaigns, trade shows, and promotional materials.
* Budget Management: Manage the UK sales budget, approve pricing structures, and ensure efficient resource use.
* Compliance & Process Standardisation: Implement consistent sales processes to standardise customer experience.
* Technical Expertise: Stay updated on industry trends, technical developments, and legislation. Represent the company at industry events and forums.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in sales leadership within hydraulic fluid power or related sectors.
* Strong team management and development skills.
* Excellent relationship-building and negotiation abilities.
* Analytical mindset with experience in sales forecasting and reporting.
* Technical understanding of fluid power products.
* Willingness to travel UK-wide and attend industry events.
* Previous use/knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
