An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and proactive Recovery Worker to join a dynamic Substance Misuse team in Nuneaton. In this rewarding locum role, you will support individuals struggling with drug and alcohol misuse, helping them on their journey towards recovery and reintegration into the community.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage a caseload of service users, completing comprehensive assessments, risk assessments, and recovery plans.
* Deliver one-to-one keywork sessions and facilitate group-based interventions using evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Relapse Prevention).
* Develop tailored recovery plans in collaboration with service users, aligned to their personal goals.
* Liaise with external agencies, including health, social care, and criminal justice, ensuring coordinated and holistic support.
* Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns in line with policy and statutory guidance.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using electronic case management systems.
* Conduct outreach work as required, supporting engagement with hard-to-reach populations.


Key Requirements

* Experience supporting individuals with substance misuse, mental health issues, or complex needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a trauma-informed, non-judgemental approach.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment, and harm reduction strategies.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification (desirable).
* Experience in delivering group interventions (advantageous).
* Familiarity with recovery models and structured treatment frameworks.
