We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Clerk to join our Office Services team, onsite in Newcastle.
As a Service Clerk you will provide a high level of customer service to employees and partners within the firm in a timely and professional manner.
This is a great entry level role for someone looking for a career in a law firm.
You will be responsible for:
* opening, sorting and distributing inward coming mail;
* coordinating and processing all outgoing mail;
* assisting with catering requirements and room set up;
* booking couriers for pick up and delivery;
* daily banking for the Firm;
* photocopying for the Firm in the office and at the courts;
* housekeeping, including maintaining and restocking kitchen supplies;
* binding of documents;
* distributing incoming faxes (reception);
* maintaining and delivering paper and stationary supplies;
* delivery of legal documents to the Courts;
* making and recording service calls for the firm’s printers;
* relief for Front of House (Lunch breaks and absences);
* preparing files for archiving/ or off-site storage for the first time;
* returning retrieved files to be sent back to archive;
* scanning original documents as required; and
* ad hoc duties as and when required.
About you
You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
* experience in an office or professional services environment;
* excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills;
* reliable with a 'can do' attitude and proactive approach;
* ability to work autonomously;
* team player with a flexible approach;
* strong IT skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office;
* ability to work under pressure during peak times;
* proactive approach with the ability to prioritise; and
* client focused with strong organisational skills.
