SEND Primary Teacher Location: Nottingham Salary: £130 – £251 per day (Depending on Experience) Start Date: Immediate Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time Are you an experienced Primary Teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? About the Role As a SEND Primary Teacher, you will deliver tailored and engaging lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEND. You will create a nurturing and inclusive classroom where every child can access the curriculum, develop confidence, and achieve their full potential. SEND Primary Teacher Responsibilities Plan and deliver lessons adapted to meet the needs of pupils with SEND in primary year groups. Differentiate resources and teaching strategies to support individual learning plans. Assess, track, and monitor progress, ensuring students reach their academic and personal goals. Work closely with SENCOs, support staff, and parents to create effective support strategies. Provide a safe and supportive environment that encourages pupils’ independence and social development. Skills & Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential. Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Education (SEND specialism desirable). Experience teaching primary pupils with SEND in a classroom setting. Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and ability to adapt to meet individual learning needs. Patience, empathy, and excellent classroom management skills. Commitment to safeguarding and supporting the wellbeing of pupils.
