We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and talented Senior Manager to join the new NIHR Regional Research Delivery Network (RRDN) in the South West Peninsula. The postholder will support the marketing of NIHR services to industry and contribute to shaping new projects and services that meet the needs of life sciences customers. The role involves proactive development of a profile across the RDN and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
The postholder will be managed by the RRDN Strategic Development Director and will have a key relationship with the national RDNCC Life Science Director. They will oversee the work and development of the Industry Manager, supporting a unified network to deliver the life science strategy.
This role requires regional, national, and some international travel. We offer a hybrid working model.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity to deliver standardized study support services regionally and nationally. You will develop and maintain high-quality relationships with regional settings, specialty leads, sponsors, and research organizations to support effective research delivery. The RDN and DHSC envision this role as a key conduit for commercial partners to explore pipelines, plan, and facilitate study delivery.
The Life Science Key Account Manager, as a senior manager within the RRDN, will work within a national team to develop relationships with life sciences companies and NIHR stakeholders, attracting and expanding clinical research in the UK.
This role will collaborate with other industry-facing teams to ensure consistent service delivery nationally and regionally. Using horizon scanning, business intelligence, and NIHR expertise, the postholder will provide tailored services to key accounts, promoting RDN services and opportunities.
The base can be Truro, Plymouth, Exeter, or Taunton, with regular regional travel and some national travel required.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week
