Role Overview
They are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing Manchester team. This role involves taking responsibility for electrical building services design across a variety of challenging projects.
You will be responsible for:
* Designing and delivering mechanical systems across a diverse mix of projects.
* Assisting senior engineers in the full project lifecycle from concept and feasibility to detailed design stages.
* Conducting site surveys and attending client meetings.
* Preparing technical reports, specifications, and schedules.
* Collaborating with other disciplines and stakeholders.
* Contributing to team collaboration.
* Mentoring other junior engineers
Requirements
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or relevant subject.
* 3+ years of proven experience in mechanical design within the building services sector.
* An existing security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
* Strong understanding of UK building regulations and CIBSE guidelines.
* Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, IESVE, etc.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Working towards chartership (CIBSE or IET) is desirable.
