This vital role involves providing indispensable assistance to university students during their examinations, ensuring they have the necessary support to access and complete their assessments successfully. Key Responsibilities:
* Clearly articulate examination questions to students.
* Repeat questions as requested by students to ensure comprehension.
* Accurately record student responses during examinations as a scribe.
* Ensure all written or typed responses are clear and precise.
* Maintain impeccable standards of spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
* Strictly adhere to all examination protocols and regulations.
* Become familiar with university building layouts and room designations.
* Uphold student confidentiality, professionalism, and respect at all times.
* Maintain professional boundaries throughout your engagement.
Qualifications:
* Hold a degree, an equivalent qualification, or be in the final years of your degree program.
* Completion of disability support training (provided by Randstad).
* Completion of an e:learning suite (provided by Randstad).
* Neat handwriting and the ability to transcribe verbal responses accurately.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Exceptional command of the English language, including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and structure.
* Meticulous attention to detail.
* Demonstrated flexibility and punctuality.
* Good organizational capabilities.
* Subject:specific knowledge is advantageous.
* Previous experience within a Higher Education setting.
* Experience supporting disabled adults.
* Understanding of barriers faced by disabled individuals in higher education.
* Awareness of safeguarding principles and suitability to work with learners aged 16+.
