We are currently recruiting a Building Services Maintenance Engineer to join our maintenance team based on site in Burton Latimer. Check out the role overview below. If you are confident you have got the right skills and experience, apply today. This is a hands-on role supporting the safe, efficient day-to-day operation of the facility. You’ll carry out general maintenance, repairs, inspections, and site upkeep while ensuring the highest standards of health & safety, hygiene, and food safety are maintained.
Responsibilities
* Carry out general building and site maintenance, including minor repairs to doors, floors, walls, fixtures, and fittings
* Complete basic plumbing, joinery, painting, and mechanical repair work
* Maintain non-production equipment and site services such as lighting, drainage, shelving, locks, and small tools
* Respond promptly to maintenance issues affecting safety, hygiene, or operations
* Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine inspections
* Report defects, repeat faults, and larger repair requirements to the maintenance supervisor
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard
* Keep work areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times
* Follow strict food hygiene, HACCP, COSHH, and health & safety procedures
* Use tools and materials safely, including correct storage and disposal
* Assist with contractor supervision, equipment moves, installations, and site improvement projects
* Complete maintenance logs, checklists, and job records
* Actively promote and maintain a strong Health & Safety culture on site
Skills And Experience
* Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities maintenance, or site services
* Basic skills in plumbing, joinery, mechanical repairs, or general maintenance
* Practical maintenance experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment
* Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
* A proactive, reliable, and safety-focused approach
* Ability to work independently while supporting a wider maintenance team
