We are looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our friendly team based at Tarmac Cornelly Quarry, Porthcawl, Bridgend. This role is also accessible from Porthcawl, South Cornelly, Pyle, Brynmenyn, Maesteg, Port Talbot, Swansea, Neath, Llantrisant, Pontyclun, and surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities
* Working with aggregates on site and operating machinery (including dumpers and loading shovels)
* Performing day-to-day maintenance of the plant and maintaining high standards of housekeeping
* Training and operating static plant to help optimize plant performance
* Collaborating with team members to ensure quality materials and timely deliveries
* Maximizing plant availability
* Assisting the Supervisor in meeting production targets
* Promoting a culture of zero harm and behavioral safety
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety measures on site
The Ideal Candidate
Suitable candidates will have proven experience, preferably in an aggregate, industrial, or factory environment, as an operative or laborer. Good communication skills and a desire to develop operative and supervisory skills are essential.
The candidate should also:
* Have industry and plant knowledge, ideally with quarrying experience
* Preferably have experience with mobile plant operations
* Be flexible and able to work effectively as part of a multi-skilled team
* Be self-motivated and capable of motivating colleagues
* Understand risk assessments and safety procedures (SSOW, HIRA, permits)
* Be compliant with company policies and standards
* Possess good timekeeping and flexibility
* Have good communication skills to report issues to management
* Hold a full UK driving license
* Be IT literate
* Experience with shovel, ADT, or excavator preferred
* Shovel license and mobile plant tickets are desirable but not essential
