Senior Civil Engineer About the Role: Our client, a well-established consultancy specialising in transport planning and highway design, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Fleet office. This is a great opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including Section 278 and Section 38 highway design schemes, across both public and private sectors. Key Responsibilities: * Deliver designs on time and within budget. * Manage resource allocation to ensure efficient utilisation of the team. * Collaborate with senior management across offices to support multidisciplinary projects. * Ensure compliance with relevant authorities, statutory bodies, and design standards such as MCHW and DMRB. * Review, authorise, and provide feedback on design information and reports. * Promote innovation and continuous improvement within the team. * Adhere to Health & Safety legislation, particularly CDM regulations, and actively manage risks. Essential Skills & Experience: * Proven experience in Section 278 and Section 38 highway design projects. * Strong management skills with confidence to lead teams through varied workloads. * Extensive knowledge of highways technical documents and design guidance (DMRB). * Experience managing project delivery against programme and budget. * Ability to mentor and supervise junior staff. * Competent in highway drainage design and Causeway Flow PDS software. * Familiarity with Civils 3D CAD software. * Strong independent judgement and problem-solving skills.
