Cambridge Rehab Unit is a 36-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility, led by nurses. We have visiting consultants and daily GP support. We provide short-term rehabilitation for adults aged 18 and over, experiencing changes in physical health due to medical conditions, deterioration of abilities, or acute issues.
We consider full and part-time hours. Free on-site parking is available.
Main duties include delivering direct patient care in accordance with Trust policies, being responsive and respectful to patients, families, and colleagues. You will observe and report changes in patients' wellbeing and safety, including clinical observations. It’s important to recognize your limitations and seek support when needed.
You will provide personal care with empathy, dignity, and respect, and work collaboratively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team.

Your responsibilities include providing care for adults with physical and/or mental health challenges, contributing to assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care, and supporting service users to overcome barriers related to their health.
You will work closely with nurses and practitioners to deliver therapeutic care, report on service users’ conditions, and provide information using empathy and reassurance.
You will perform physical observations such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and others, reporting results to the nurse in charge.
Providing social activities, emotional support, and stability to service users is essential, as is empowering them with relevant information about their treatment and available services, always maintaining professional boundaries.
