Your new role
You will work as part of a small yet dedicated finance and support team, to administer and control the payroll and pension functions for approx. 300 employees. You will ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time and to ensure that, where applicable, employees are assessed and enroled into the Auto Enrolment pension scheme as required by law.
1. To methodically and accurately process salary payments on a monthly basis for all employees (two payrolls) and send payslips via email account to all employees.
2. Deal with all aspects of payroll including:
3. Calculate pro rata payments for mid-month starters and leavers.
4. Process contractual changes.
5. Check and process monthly overtime and timesheets.
6. Calculate and process back payments as and when necessary.
7. Calculate and make payments or deductions as necessary for holiday pay.
8. Record, calculate and make statutory payments or salary deductions as necessary for sick pay, SSP, SMP etc.
9. Produce, analyse and balance all payroll reports prior to review by the Financial Controller.
10. Produce a BACS listing and meet with the FC for final payroll checks prior to submission of the BACS file.
11. Responsible for Submission of Full Payment Submission (FPS) and Employer Payment Submission (EPS) to HMRC on a monthly basis.
12. Pay PAYE and NI contributions to HMRC.
13. Management of Year End and Start of Year processes including issuing P60s to all staff.
14. Produce and post P45s as and when necessary.
15. Prepare,plete and submit P11Ds.
16. Ensuring HMRC (HM Revenue & Customs)pliance at all times.
17. Always keep fully up to date with Payroll and Pensions legislation.
What you'll need to succeed
18. Ideally qualified with a professional qualification, Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) and/or equivalent proven experience to perform the role.
19. Proven experience in payroll and a strong understanding of the statutory payments and requirements
