You will be working as part of the Boning Hall team to ensure the needs of the business are met in a timely and effective manner according to the specification. You will be part of a fast paced, proactive team liaising with colleagues and production departments and planning to ensure all deadlines are met as well as improving efficiency and developing current processes.

Unskilled Trainee Butcher,
Based in Yetminster,
Hours: Monday to Friday 6.30am to 5.00pm including 2 x 30-minute breaks,
Reporting to Boning Hall Manager.

The role involves:
Cut, trim and prepare lamb.
Ensure strict adherence to quality, animal welfare and ethical procedures.
Follow traceability process and ensure labelling integrity.
Always comply with company policy and procedure on safe food handling and hygiene.
Undertake any other reasonable requests made.
Meet standards and deadlines.
Seek training to maintain skills and remain up to date with best practice.
Carry out all tasks in a safe manner in accordance with attached H&S responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to follow detailed operating procedures with a high degree of attention to detail. The candidate will follow instructions including those relating to personal health and safety and the wearing of PPE.
General operative tasks require a substantial amount of physical ability must be physically fit.
Can do attitude with good communication skills and a basic understanding of verbal and written English.
