The post holder will provide administrative support to the health and criminal justice professionals working in court and custody suites and provide a link through to interventions. The post holder will ensure the delivery of a comprehensive high quality secretarial and clinical administrative service to the service manager, clinical lead and clinical team. The post holder plays a central role within the provision of services and is required to exercise initiative, independent judgement and decision making within situations arising from the duties described below to ensure an effective high quality service.
To provide a comprehensive, high quality secretarial and clinical administrative service to the service manager, clinical lead and clinical team, to ensure the general audio typing requirements are met, preparing correspondence, word processing of GP letters, minutes and reports. Supervise administration staff undertaking appraisals, supervision, training and development of band 2 worker. Support managers with the recruitment process and ensure that newly appointed workers undergo their local and Trust inductions. To be responsible for dealing with telephone enquiries and other communications with a high degree of tact, diplomacy and confidentiality. Arrange and attend meetings, including booking venues and hospitality if appropriate. To prepare and produce an agenda, collate and distribute all necessary information and documentation, take minutes and action notes as required. Ensure all minutes are issued in a timely manner and ensure agreed actions are appropriately recorded. Provide cover as directed by Line Manager for other members of the team in their absence and assist with their workloads as necessary. Ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times and sharing of information is done in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
