Junior Designer
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation seeking a Junior Designer to support their fast-paced and innovative design team. This role is perfect for someone with a background in design, architecture, surveying, or engineering, who thrives on transforming technical information into visually accurate and compliant solutions.

* Job type: Full time, permanent
* Location: Etchingham, TN19
* Salary: £30-40k per annum
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with internal teams and customers to interpret survey notes, client requirements, and spatial layouts.
* Produce accurate and visually clear 2D and 3D design concepts using SketchUp.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant building regulations and project specifications.
* Prepare and extract Bills of Materials (BOMs) and pricing data using Excel.
* Maintain well-organised design files and records, following internal protocols.
* Contribute to customer meetings and design workshops, offering real-time input and support.
* Deliver estimates promptly and support any required design revisions.
* Continuously grow and update the internal library of standard design units.
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements
* Background in design, architecture, surveying, or engineering – either through experience or formal education.
* Proficient in using SketchUp for 3D modelling and Excel for data and pricing work.
* Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings, plans, and 2D layouts.
* Solid understanding of UK building regulations, particularly Parts B, K, and M.
* Highly organised with strong file management and documentation skills.
* Detail-oriented, methodical, and quality-focused in approach.
* Able to communicate clearly and collaborate across teams and departments.
* Comfortable participating in virtual workshops and client-facing discussions.
* Proactive problem-solver with the ability to think laterally when challenges arise.
