About the school:
Our client is seeking SEN teaching assistants with abundant patience and a deep understanding of individual needs. While certifications are preferred, they are not mandatory. The ideal candidate will possess excellent transferable skills and a genuine passion for working with children.
Roles include:
1. Supporting students' physical, social, and emotional well-being
2. Collaborating as part of a team
3. Effective communication with children, managing their behaviour, and addressing classroom issues
4. Mentoring and guiding students in need of extra support in small groups and 1:1
5. Listening, discussing, and explaining
Requirements:
6. Previous experience working or volunteering with SEN pupils
7. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one through Randstad)
8. Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
9. Desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and/or behavioural management needs
