Prospero Teaching is looking for engaging, resilient, and understanding Tutors to work with young people at risk of permanent exclusion (PEX) in Alton and nearby areas. These students need support not only in their academic progress but also in their emotional and social development. As a Tutor, you will: You will work on a 1:1 basis with learners who are currently disengaged from mainstream education. Your role will focus on: Core subject catch-up (English, Maths, Science) Supporting emotional regulation Encouraging positive social developmentAbout you: Tutors or educators with experience working with vulnerable or disengaged learners Individuals who are patient, empathetic, and committed to inclusive education Those with strong behaviour management and communication skillsPosition - Tutor Contract or position start date - ASAP Contract or position end date (if applicable) - N/A Full time/part-time - Opportunities for both Hours - Varied Essential & Desirable Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience working with young people Trauma-informed and skilled in de-escalation and emotional regulation strategies- Desirable To be eligible for this role through Prospero teaching, you must: Hold right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide references upon request Possess up to date Safeguarding Training (or a willingness to undertake this)
