We are recruiting for a General Maintenance Operative to join our dedicated team across our group and sites in Nottingham. The individual will be required to offer general maintenance across our sites and buildings.
Position Details:
* Salary: competitive salary dependent on experience and qualifications
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week. This is a full-time position and may include some weekends and bank holidays. Due to the nature of the role, work outside of the agreed hours may be required alongside on call duties, therefore we are looking for someone with flexibility to shift times.
* Location: Nottingham NG6 8TQ and NG15 7SA
* Required: Clean Driving licence and access to a vehicle required.
Responsibilities: As a Maintenance Operative at Shredall SDS Group / LOFT Self Storage, you will complete day to day maintenance on the fabric of the building, its services, and grounds to ensure the sites and buildings are maintained in a safe and efficient functional order. Further responsibilities include:
* Carry out repairs and decoration to the sites as required and ensure the maintenance of interior / exterior.
* Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs promptly.
* Clearing of any unwanted outside plantation.
* Ensure any known defects to appliances, equipment, and other potential hazards are reported to the Manager and actioned as required.
* Provide exceptional customer service by responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a general maintenance role.
* Ability to perform basic electrical repairs is highly desirable.
* Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
* Proficient in English, both written and verbal, for effective communication within the team.
