Accounts Manager - Surrey, Hybrid Working, £40,000 to £50,000 (Part-Time Welcome)
Our client is a well-established independent firm of accountants with an excellent reputation in the local market. This is a fabulous opportunity for a recently/newly qualified ACA/ACCA accountant to join the firm in a supervisory role. If you are yet to complete your final papers of ACA or ACCA, your application is still very welcome as study support can be offered. The Accounts Manager role is based in the Surrey office, and as the successful candidate, you will work closely with the wider business and the senior management team.
Key Responsibilities
The Accounts Manager's responsibilities include managing a portfolio and reviewing the work of more junior staff to include the following:
* Review of statutory year-end accounts
* UK financial reporting for limited companies and LLPs and some subsidiaries of larger International Groups
* Advising clients with plenty of face-to-face and telephone liaison
* Review the quality of more junior team members and offer support to active studiers within the team
Skills and Experience
* The Accounts Manager will be an ACA or ACCA or equivalent Qualified Accountant or a late-stage studier
* You will have experience of statutory accounts preparation gained in a Practice environment; ideally, FRS102 and some exposure to IFRS would be a real bonus
* Good IT experience including Xero
* Experience of managing a portfolio of clients and reviewing and overseeing junior staff, including bookkeeping, VAT Returns, and Management Accounts
Salary and Benefits
Salary of £40,000 - £50,000 plus an excellent range of benefits, including hybrid working. The client is happy to discuss part-time applications.
Location
The Accounts Manager role is based in Leatherhead and is commutable from Kingston, Egham, Sunbury, Dorking, Reigate, Epsom, Leatherhead, Woking, and surrounding areas.
