Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulatory Officer - Field Based - 31634
We are seeking a Regulatory Officer to work in the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) team within Batteries, WEEE and Shipments, part of Environmental Markets and Regulation. The team is national with officers based across England. National travel and overnight stays will be required.
Responsibilities
* Undertake audits (on site and virtual).
* Take appropriate enforcement action when necessary.
* Disrupt non-compliance.
* Collate and analyse complex data to support evidence-based regulatory decisions.
* Handle confidential and sensitive information whilst working within data protection guidelines.
* Contribute to the development and improvement of processes and procedures.
Requirements / Experience
* Experience in waste industry or regulatory roles is not required as full training is provided.
* Enjoy working both outdoors and in an office environment.
* Effective, organised, and able to prioritise; rational/composed; IT literate; comfortable with numbers and large data sets; passionate about the environment.
* Ability to handle confrontational situations; adapt communication style; integrate into a team; record information accurately.
* Full UK clean driving license is essential.
